5. How do we use web analytics technologies?
We use so-called web analysis or tracking technologies to constantly improve our website.
We mainly use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. To deactivate Google Analytics, Google provides a browser add-on at http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
The information generated by the Google Analytics cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.
Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google and will only pass it on to us in anonymized form.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website.
Google complies with the data protection provisions of the "Privacy Shield" agreement and is registered with the "Privacy Shield" program of the U.S. Department of Commerce and uses the information collected to evaluate the use of our website, to compile related reports for us and to provide other related services to us. You can learn more about this at http://www.google.com/intl/de/analytics/privacyoverview.html.
For more information about Google Analytics and links to Google's privacy policy and the tool to deactivate Google Analytics, please visit https://support.google.com/analytics in the section Protection and security of your data.
We also use Google Ads, and within the framework of Google Ads the conversion tracking. Google Ads places a cookie for conversion tracking on the hard drive of your computer (so-called "conversion cookie") when you click on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If you visit certain pages on our website, Google and we can recognize that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page.
If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this - for example, by means of a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies - or set your browser so that cookies from the domain "googleleadservices.com" are blocked.
The information obtained with the help of conversion cookies is used to create statistics. Through these statistics, we learn the total number of users who clicked on the ad placed by Google and accessed a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag.
In addition to conversion tracking, we also use the remarketing function of Google and other providers to reach users who have already visited our website. This allows us to present our advertising to target groups that are already interested in our products or services. Google Ads also uses user behavior on websites in Google's advertising network ("display network") over the last 30 days and the contextual search engine to determine the common interests and characteristics of users of our website. Based on this information, Google Ads then finds new potential customers for marketing purposes whose interests and characteristics are similar to those of the users of our website.
7. Sharing your data
We may share your personal information with third parties for the purposes set forth in Section 3. These third parties include, but are not limited to: Other companies, agencies, outside consultants, our third party service providers and contractors (such as any email providers, application platform or website support service), government agencies such as law enforcement and regulatory agencies and dispute resolution bodies (or any other entities to which we have been legally or judicially required to disclose), and any individuals or entities to whom data may be disclosed based on consent from you.
If we disclose your personal data to third parties who process your data on our behalf, we take all reasonable steps to ensure that these third parties take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data and are bound to do so by confidentiality provisions and legal regulations. Any disclosure of your personal data will be in compliance with legal requirements. This means that such data processing is subject to appropriate data processing agreements to ensure that data is used exclusively for the clearly defined purposes and that third parties contracted by us maintain appropriate security measures to protect your personal data.
We may also disclose your personal information if we are required to do so to comply with applicable laws and regulations, in the event of legal proceedings, at the request of the competent courts and authorities, or as otherwise required by law, or if we believe it is necessary to protect and defend our rights or property.
8. How long will my data be stored?
All stored personal data will - as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected, the user contract has ended or you request this - be deleted immediately and irretrievably, unless Männedorf Hospital is obliged to retain it by law. Anonymized data that does not reveal the user may, however, be used for internal purposes beyond this.
If you apply for a position, we will store your personal data for future recruitment purposes in accordance with your consent. In the event of any disputes regarding the hiring process, your personal data may be stored for up to 180 days after the completion of the hiring process.
9. How do we protect your data?
We store your data in paper or electronic form in folders and databases. We have taken legally required protective measures to protect the personal data we store from misuse, interference and loss, as well as access, modification or disclosure by unauthorized persons. Spital Männedorf uses various technical security measures. These include a number of systems and communication security measures, as well as the secure storage of paper documents and the encryption of data. In addition, access to your personal data is restricted exclusively to the necessary group of persons.
We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by external service providers working for us. In the case of unencrypted transmission on an open network (for example, when you send us messages or other information), data can nevertheless be read, modified or destroyed by unauthorized third parties under certain circumstances. Any transmission of data to or from the website is therefore at the user's own risk.
10. What rights do I have?
You are entitled to request information about your stored personal data at any time. In addition, you may at any time request the controller to correct, transfer, partially or completely delete and block individual personal data, provided that this request does not conflict with any statutory retention obligations. You may also exercise your right to object to data processing at any time without giving reasons. Furthermore, under certain conditions, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commissioner of the Canton of Zurich.
11. How will this statement be updated?
We reserve the right to review, amend or supplement our privacy policy and the way in which we process personal data from time to time. We will post the amended privacy policy on our website at www.spitalmaennedorf.ch. Any amended terms will be effective upon publication.
