Clarification and treatment

Often, several treatment options come into question. We find the optimal therapy for you and coordinate radiological clarifications, surgical tumor removals, drug treatments and radiation.

Chemotherapies

Treatment with so-called cytostatics, which eliminate the tumor cells or stop their growth. Thanks to modern technology, hair loss can be reduced during therapy.

Immunotherapies

Drug-based immunotherapy aims to activate the body's own immune system and is often used in combination with chemotherapy.

Targeted drugs

These influence the growth signals inside the cell and thus prevent the cells from dividing.

Anti-hormone therapies

Some tumors grow under the influence of hormones. Targeted inhibition or lowering of hormones can reduce tumor growth.

Blood and platelet transfusions

Compensation of therapy-related deficiency of blood components for stabilization.

Bisphosphonate therapies

Use of bone stabilizing drugs in tumor diseases with bone metastases.

A tumor disease can be very stressful psychologically. We advise you and your relatives selectively or support you in regular discussions.

Advanced care planning incl. emergency plan

We answer your questions about living wills and advance directives, help you prepare the appropriate documents, and prepare an illness-specific emergency plan for you.

Pain nurse

Our nursing pain specialists will support you during medication adjustments and help you manage distressing pain symptoms.

Palliative Care

In the context of palliative care, we care for those affected by a serious incurable disease holistically and sensitively in order to enable the best possible quality of life.

Courses and workshops

Our team

We are an interprofessional team of physicians, nurses and secretaries. Medical oncology also relies on close interaction between various disciplines in order to provide patients with optimal care. For example, we work closely with nutritional counseling, physiotherapy and social counseling.
