Impulse
Impuls is an information and support offer by the Oncology and Hematology Center Hospital Männedorf for affected persons, relatives and interested parties. Impuls includes a series of 4 evening courses and a full-day workshop. The offers can be attended individually or consecutively.
Impulse course
The course comprises 4 evenings and provides important information about cancer as well as stimulating impulses for coping with the changed life situation. The course unit includes lectures as well as an exchange and answering of personal questions. During the course the participants will become familiar with people in a similar life situation and and benefit from the experience of having a direct, personal contact with professionals
"Look Good Feel Better"
"Look Good Feel Better" is a nonprofit commitment that supports cancer patients with altered body image in many countries. A free two-hour workshop is offered on the premises of the Oncology and Hematology Center. The trained cosmeticians explain a step-by-step program for skin care and make-up to the patients so that they can better cope with the visible consequences of the therapy. The events leave room for exchange among those affected. A nurse is on hand to answer any professional questions.
Individual counseling for men is also available upon request.
