Applicants from abroad
Do you want to realize your career in Switzerland? Professionals from abroad are very welcome at Männedorf Hospital. Fluency in written and spoken German is an important requirement here.
Approval process
Since November 1, 1998, the "dual recruitment system" has applied to the admission of foreigners wishing to take up gainful employment in Switzerland: The Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons, in force since June 1, 2002, means priority for the admission of gainfully employed persons from the EU/EFTA on the one hand, and leads to a restrictive admission policy for specialized and qualified workers from the other countries on the other.
In order to obtain a work permit, you must report to the residents' registration office of the municipality in which you will be living before you start work. Please take your valid ID and your employment contract/confirmation of employment with you.
-
Diploma recognition
For nurses and medical-technical-therapeutic professions (MTTB)
By three months after your employment at the latest, your foreign diploma must have been recognized by the Swiss Red Cross. On the SRC website you will find the procedure for recognition.
For doctors
Regarding the recognition of your title, please read the guide of the Swiss Medical Association (in German).

Internships
Internship in nursing service
Finally get going after school! If you want to gain practical experience in the nursing profession, you have come to the right place.
