Our services

Geriatric assessment

Clarification of medical, psychosocial and functional problems and resources to develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

Geriatric treatment

Treatment by an interdisciplinary team under geriatric medical direction.

Physiotherapy and occupational therapy

Intensive physical and occupational therapy sessions with a minimum of ten training sessions per week.

Nutrition therapy and counseling

Compensation of deficiencies through nutritional counseling and therapy.

Neuropsychology

Neuropsychological consultation and assessment, supplemented by geriatric psychiatric expertise as needed.

Interdisciplinary care

Weekly team meetings involving all disciplines involved.

Activating care

Care enabling independence provided by specially trained nursing staff.

Family support

Family discussion or helper conference prior to planned exit.

Experienced in working in retirement and nursing homes

Thanks to our cooperation with the Loogarten Foundation, the retirement and nursing center in Esslingen, we know the issues and challenges of homes and nursing institutions from our own experience. Our acute geriatricians work there - in addition to their work in the hospital - as physicians.

Our team

We work closely with social counseling, nutritional counseling, physical and occupational therapy, and the Center for Mental Health. In addition to proven cooperations with the nursing homes in the region, our geriatricians have medical responsibility for the Loogarten nursing home.
